2012 Catch A Special Thrill (C.A.S.T.) Event
Post date: May 1, 2012 1:48:27 AM
The annual C.A.S. T. event will be held SaturdayJune 2, 2012 at the South Boat Ramp/Beach area at Horsetooth Reservoir. This annual event, in conjunction with the national C.A.S.T. program and conducted with volunteers from many organizations and groups, has long been supported by members of the Colorado Bass Federation and especially nearby Centennial Bass Club. The purpose of the event is to take challenged individuals, children and adults, out for a day of boating and fishing, a fun activity that many would not otherwise have the opportunity to do. Boat volunteers take participants out for a few hours on Saturday morning for fishing and sometimes just for a boat ride and a great view of the lake. Pontoon boats are provided for those in wheelchairs. Volunteers also help keep the event organized and provide a noontime meal after the on-water activities.
